Time Consistent Pareto Solutions in Common Access Resource Games with Asymmetric Players

In the analysis of equilibrium policies in a dierential game, if agents have different time preference rates, the cooperative (Pareto optimum) solution obtained by applying the Pontryagin's Maximum Principle becomes time inconsistent. In this work we derive a set of dynamic programming equations (in discrete and continuous time) whose solutions are time consistent equilibrium rules for N-player cooperative dierential games in which agents dier in their instantaneous utility functions and also in their discount rates of time preference. The results are applied to the study of a cake-eating problem describing the management of a common property exhaustible natural resource. Heterogeneous discounting in consumption-investment problems. Time consistent solutions

In this paper we analyze a stochastic continuous time model in finite horizon in which agents discount the instantaneous utility function and the final function at constant but different instantaneous discount rates of time preference. Within this context we can model problems in which, when the time t approaches to the final time, the valuation of the final function increases compared with previous valuations in a way that cannot be explained by using a unique constant or a variable discount rate. We derive a dynamic programming equation whose solutions are time-consistent Markov equilibria. For this class of time preferences, we study the classical consumption and portfolio rules model (Merton, 1971) for CRRA and CARA utility functions for time- consistent agents, and we compare the different equilibria with the time-inconsistent solutions. Educación religiosa en el Colegio Vilaseca

We made a brief historiographical analysis on Vilaseca school, which is located in Toluca city’s downtown, in Mexico. By taking it as a paradigmatic example, we could know and understand a little further the history of catholic schools in this country, specially about their relationship with the State. Se llevó a cabo un breve análisis historiográfico sobre el Colegio Vilaseca, el cual está ubicado en la ciudad de Toluca, México. Al tomar como muestra este ejemplo paradigmático se pudo conocer y comprender un poco más de la historia de las escuelas religiosas católicas en este país, especialmente en lo referente a sus relaciones con el Estado.

Historical novel as a support for teaching History of Mexico

This paper deals with the problem posed by history teaching in schools nowadays, mainly in high school and college. Use of literary materials is proposed to solve this problem. We start from a theoretical analysis about literature, especially in all related to historical novel and storytelling, to later briefly review some texts that may help History of Mexico teachers. Nevertheless we also conclude that this tool may carry certain deficiencies being a mix of fiction and real facts. So it is necessary that both, readers and teachers have some cognitive elements for nor to commit mistakes.Se plantea la problemática por la que está pasando la enseñanza de la historia en las escuelas, sobre todo en los niveles medio superior y superior, y se propone el uso de material literario para solucionar este problema. Partimos de un análisis teórico sobre la literatura, especialmente en lo concerniente a la novela histórica y el relato, para después hacer una breve revisión de algunos textos que pueden ayudar a los maestros de Historia de México. Sin embargo, también se llega a la conclusión de que esta herramienta puede traer consigo ciertas deficiencias al ser una mezcla de ficción y datos reales, por lo que es necesario que tanto lectores como maestros posean ciertos elementos cognoscitivos para no caer en errores
